Flaming Gorge to Browns Park on the Green River Utah
Your Green River rafting trip begins just below Flaming Gorge Reservoir. You'll enjoy a relaxing 7-mile trip through Red Canyon and an excellent introduction to Green River rafting in Utah. Adventurers, families, groups and individuals will all enjoy this Canyon Country raft trip on the Green River. Fast water rattles over moderate rapids between the steep red canyon walls below Flaming Gorge Dam. Below the clear, cold surface of the river gigantic trout lurk.

As you proceed on your 2 or 3 day Green River rafting trip, riverside campsites beyond Little Hole provide a luxurious setting for sunsets as they sweep the canyon walls. But there are challenges along the way. The river tumbles through the rock debris washed into the Green River by Red Creek. Guides pause here to review the best route for fun and safety.

Red Canyon begrudgingly gives way to the openness of Browns Park and a broad valley named for a French Canadian trapper. Here the West has stayed young, allowing you to peer back into its history. This is the stomping ground of Butch Cassidy and other notorious characters. At the reconstructed, historic Jarvie Ranch you can step back in time and make acquaintance with native peoples, trappers, settlers, ranchers and outlaws.

Brown's Park is a haven for migratory waterfowl and a plethora of migratory birds. River otter and beaver ply the waters, whose banks occasionally host moose and elk. As daylight falls the eerie howl of distant coyotes drifts with the lilting breezes. In this little traveled section of the river, vast panoramas of the distant entrance to Lodore Canyon allures. Here you can kick back and relax in the sun to soak in the lilt of the river.

As you leave the captivating adventure of Green River white water rafting, you will begin daydreaming of new additions to your river log.
